The amount of repetition is staggering. I couldn't get through more than a couple of chapters of this and even skipping ahead didn't alleviate that. The amount of information you get per page is thus very, very limited. The writing style is also very dry and they used a glossy ink, so the book is just plain fatiguing to try to read.

The book is confusing and barely readable. For example:> Jargon is heaped on top of jargon;> Definitions of new concepts are heavily dependent on previously poorly defined concepts;> Many sections begin with long descriptions of concepts the authors have chosen not to use – BEFORE describing the concepts they will be using.I won’t go on any further. A cogent presentation of the substance in this book would probably take one-quarter of the pages in this book.

If felt a bit too theoretical for what I needed to accomplish in my organization. The book does include all the sections I would expect it to contain, including definitions, existing tools and the various components of mdm but I felt like those should have been at the very beginning of the book, not at the end.Some sections have no interruptions, just very long paragraphs that span several pages. In other places, bullet points that seem to go on forever..

I found this book gave me useful understanding of the theory of MDM, which is what I wanted. It also provides some good high level architectures. I think it would have benefitted from more in the way of Case studies, particularly lessons learned. The true value of MDM can be questionable when it comes down to the practical hands on, so real life examples are paramount.

I found the book rather lacking in technical specifics. It is geared more toward a CTO/CIO audience. If you need to "sell" an MDM project to management, then you'll find good material in this book

About the Author
Donald J. Dahm is a professor at Rowan University. In 2004, Dr. Dahm received the Outstanding Achievement in Near Infrared Spectroscopy Award from the Eastern Analytical Symposium. He was selected in 2011 by Rowan students as the professor they most wanted to give “The Last Lecture,” an annual event based on Randy Pausch’s book. Don’s most recent book, coauthored with his son Kevin, is Interpreting Diffuse Reflectance and Transmittance: A Theoretical Introduction to Absorption Spectroscopy of Scattering Materials (2007).

Eric A. Nelson’s career spanned work as a chemistry instructor and as an elected officer and legislative representative for his faculty organization. His professional interests include research on reading comprehension in the sciences and measures of student mathematics achievement in preparation for study in chemistry. Prior to his retirement, he served on committees at the state and regional level working to raise academic standards and encourage the adoption of research-based curricula in STEM fields.

God wants to bless you, so you can be a blessing to someone else. I didn't necessarily dislike anything the author wrote about. In fact I agree with him and have been around countless testimonials of the faithful tither. Purchase a few of these and give them to your fellowship.

Obedience in Finances was a great quick read about how to trust God with your finances. It was full of scripture on the subject. Kenneth Hagin is always the go to man on building your faith in God for any area of your life and this book was the same. It calls you to go deeper with God by releasing any fear/bondage that have built walls against your faith in this area.I will pass it on to a friend after reading it a second time. This is a small book that would be good to stick into a gift for a new Christian.

This is a great book on honoring God with the tithe. Kenneth Hagin provides scripture for doing so, and he also provides illustrative examples and testimony's that he observed for honoring God with the tithe. It is a quick read. Overall, it is a great book.

Must read. Simple, clear, straight to the point and most insightful. Never underestimate the power of obedience in the smallest assignments. It always leads to greater.

About the Author

Dr. Bob Grisel began his equine veterinary training at the age of 13, when he worked for a racetrack veterinarian near his home in southern Florida. He quickly developed an interest in solving the many problems that affect performance horses, dedicating the next 30 years of his life to learning as much as he could about sport horse medicine and surgery. After graduating from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine with honors and receiving multiple awards for his performance in equine surgery, he moved to southern California where he received extensive training in equine surgery and radiology under the tutelage of a world–renowned veterinary staff. Upon completing a residency in equine surgery with an emphasis on arthroscopy, Dr. Grisel was recruited by Oregon State's College of Veterinary Medicine where he spent time on the large animal teaching staff. His surgical interests focused on performance–related problems, and he developed and published many surgical techniques designed to better treat the equine athlete. Dr. Grisel was offered an equine surgical position in the Atlanta area while working the 1996 Olympic Games, and shortly after relocating to Georgia, he built The Atlanta Equine Clinic, a state–of–the–art, full–service equine diagnostic, surgical, and emergency care facility located in Braselton. In 2005, Dr. Grisel left the hospital facility to focus on equine sports medicine and has since developed a reputation for his meticulous and accurate diagnostic ability, as well as for his effective treatment strategies for performance–related problems in the horse. I'm fortunate to have watched Dr. Bob Grisel in action over 25 or so years. He has an amazing ability to "read" movement in the horse and spot subtle asymmetries due to lameness. I have seen him identify problems that had formerly puzzled many, and once addressed brought horses back to soundness. He is a real treasure. If readers can learn from Dr. Grisel to see asymmetries, we can intervene earlier and stave off serious or chronic lamenesses. As owners/riders/trainers, we are the first line of defense, so to study and learn is well worth the effort required . This is a one-of-a-kind book due to the use of instructive video that accompanies the text, and the truism holds that "a picture (in this case a video) is worth a thousand words" was never more accurate. I think it could very well become a "classic." You will need a smart phone, and to download a bar-code-scanner. The one I used was free, with not very intrusive ads, and it worked great.
